Nov. 27 Public Meeting on Scrivener Square Development: UPDATE

Categories: News

The public meeting on the proposed development at Scrivener Square has been confirmed for Nov. 27, 2017, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Diamondcorp has been working on revisions to its application in response to feedback from a working group that includes the South Rosedale Residents’ Association, two other residents’ associations, the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club and the Thornwood I and II condominiums. According to an update in Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam’s recent newsletter, a revised plan has not been submitted to the city at this time. Therefore, City Planning has asked that Diamondcorp present its original June 2017 plans.

Diamondcorp has applied for Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment applications for 5 Scrivener Square and 8-10 Price Street. The amendments in the plan as currently submitted are to allow an 8-storey (35 metre) building and a 26-storey (97.3 metre) building with a total of 182 rental dwelling units, 3,085 square metres of non-residential floor area, and 164 vehicle parking spaces within an underground garage.
